Here are what I think are the most impactful ways to improve access to HIV care and address barriers to care at the clinic level.
I propose a more human and empathic approach to the care of people with HIV to foster a more human relationship and interaction between patients and healthcare professionals.
Members of key populations should be engaged or involved in HIV care settings—but it shouldn’t stop there. They also should become leaders at the forefront of the HIV response by providing integrated, people-centered HIV care within their own communities.
