Clinical Care Options and Practicing Clinicians Exchange Announce Strategic Combination

Reston, VA – January 17, 2019 – Clinical Care Options® (CCO) and Practicing Clinicians Exchange (PCE), two premier and award-winning medical and healthcare education companies, announced today that they have combined their businesses. The strategic merger was led by equity financing from Renovus Capital Partners, a Philadelphia-based investment firm committed to supporting and growing best-in-class education, training, and human capital companies.

CCO, based in Reston, VA, known for its pioneering work in CME/CE over the last 25 years, is the clear global market leader in oncology, virology, immunotherapy, and other therapeutic areas. The company is recognized for its live meetings and remarkable array of online interactive educational solutions, including its personalized education and information portal and the 2018 Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP) Innovative Format Award-winning, disease- and tumor-specific point-of-care decision support tools.

PCE, now in its twelfth year, is known as the premier CE company for advanced healthcare professionals including physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).

“We are all thrilled by the combination of our two great companies,” said Robin Murray, President of CCO. “Our goal is to maintain each world-class brand while leveraging each other’s strengths to continue innovating for all healthcare professionals – and make an even bigger improvement in clinicians’ ability to provide superior care and positively impact patient health outcomes.”

Jesse Serventi, a Founding Partner of Renovus, added, “After an extensive search we were excited to find two fantastic healthcare education companies with talented management teams. CCO has a sophisticated integrated technology portal and smart solutions that are tailored to individual preferences and make a significant difference at the point-of-care. We are excited to bring this technology directly to PCE’s far-reaching membership of NPs and PAs.”

Excel Partners served as the sell-side advisor to CCO. DLA Piper served as legal counsel to Renovus. Manatt served as legal counsel to CCO.
